ARCHITECTURE

Here at Chico High, we offer many levels of architecture, from beginning to advanced. Seniors typically take ROP courses, which you will find details of on the ROP information page. Here you can read about the course details, see some example projects created by students, and even explore student-made websites!

This is an entry-level class for beginning architecture students. In this course, they will be exposed to hand-sketching, various software applications and plan designs. Each student will create plans for  a 2-bedroom, 1-bath house.

This is the intermediate course offered in the architecture program. Students will improve their AutoCAD and Google SketchUp skills through a series of plans and smaller projects. They will also begin to use Revit software to create architectural models and detailed plans.

This is the pre-capstone class in the architecture curriculum, designed to encourage students to utilize their technical skills to create a more complex architectural design that will prepare them for college work.
