Kelli is currently a 4th-year "Super Senior" at California State University, Chico, studying Mechatronic Engineering with two minors, Manufacturing and Computer Engineering, and plans to graduate in May of 2015.

Kelli started out at the junior high level and moved up, spending all four years of high school going through the Architecture I, II, and ROP Architecture programs at Chico High between 2006 and 2010. While focusing on architecture at the high school level, she also concurrently took night and summer classes in additional drafting and engineering courses. By spending her senior year in the Butte College Connection program, she was able to concurrently graduate from Butte College with her Associate's Degree in Drafting and CAD Technology and from CHS with her High School Diploma.

While attending Chico State, she has worn many  hats - an AutoCAD consultant for the manufacturing facility for Overland Equipment/Chrome Industries for over seven years, consultant and assitant for the architecture and engineering classes back at CHS starting in 2010, summer camp counselor and docent for the Gateway Science Museum, President of the American Institute of Mechatronic Engineers for three years, President of the Intelligent Ground Vehicle team for two years, peer advisor to high school and college students alike, mentor for the only FIRST Robotics team (#4643, Thunderbird Robotics) between Sacramento and the Oregon border, and much, much more.

She is currently in the process of finding and securing her first real-world engineering internships. In her very rare spare time, she enjoys activities such as digital photography, stained glass art, yoga and rock climbing in order to escape from the engineering labs once in a while.

In May 2014, she was inducted into Tau Beta Pi, the highly renowned engineering honor society founded in 1885.
