Chico High School has articulated classes with Butte College in Engineering, Architecture and ROP CAD Drafting. Students who complete an equivalency course with a passing grade of,"B" or better and pass the credit examination are able to earn 3 units of transferable college credit. Credit can be earned for DFT 12, Beginning AutoCAD and for DFT 24 Beginning Architecture. Chico State University is a close neighbor to Chico High School. Many CHS Engineering and Architecture students attend college there. A majority of CHS students major in Engineering or Construction Management. Chico State redily accepts credit from classes articulated with Butte College. Consequently, CHS students are able to get a head start on related majors which allows them to save time and money.
